Jill Scott and Michael Dobson have decided to split up. The ‘golden singer’ has been granted restraining order against alienated husband. The two ended up in not so good terms after the divorce and thus had to be restrained from meeting the family.

Jill Scott is an American singer, songwriter, poet, model and an actress who made her debut by the album Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1 in 2000.Her albums Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2 (2004) and The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3 (2007) received gold status after her debut that received platinum status.
She made her film debut in Why Did I Get Married? in the year 2007. Starring in number of series like The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, The Human Kind she was recognized worldwide because of her talent and hardwork. She experts in singing jazz, opera, hip hop and R&B spoken word.
Jill Scott married her long term seven years boyfriend, Lyzel Williams in a private ceremony in Hawaii during a vacation. After six years of their marriage things did not fall right at place and so they divorced in 2007. In 2008, she got engaged to Li’l John Roberts, after the couple exchanged a kiss on stage.
In 2009, she got divorced again after the birth of her first child. However, she expected the two to be together for the upbringing of their son. In 2018, she married her long term boyfriend Mike Dobson in a private ceremony but filed for divorce after 15 months of their marriage.

Jill Scott filed for a restraining order against Michael Dobson and was granted it by the court. According to the orders, neither of the spouse can threaten, harass or stalk the other nor can they talk disparagingly about each other in front of their children. They are restricted to destroy or hide files on assets or hide assets from the marriage and further they cannot spend excessive money without court’s permission.
The reasons as reported by Jill Scott for the divorce are irreconcilable differences and inappropriate martial conduct that is unsafe and improper for the partner. However, Mike reported in an interview calling Jill an “evil” woman conned him with divorce papers. He stated that he never cheated or abused her.
The legal reports also included verbal, physical and sexual abuse and infidelity by Michael Dobson. The couple finally got divorced in September.
