After the success of Pokémon playing cards published in Japan in 1996, the company has decided to re-release the cards on its 25th anniversary in 2021 as a tribute to the franchise and for the overwhelming response, they got from the fans. Media Factory has decided to re-release the set with new booster pack edition for January.

Pokémon Trading Card Game is a collectible card game based on the Pokémon franchise released by Nintendo . It was published in 1996 in Japan and later published in USA in the year 2003 by Wizards of the Coast. By 2016, it became the top selling toy and had an 82% share in Europe’s card game market. As of now, the card game has sold over 30.4 million cards worldwide.
How to play Pokémon Trading game?
Players are in the role of Pokémon trainers and have to fight the opponent using their Pokémon. The players use their Pokémons to fight each other and whosoever sustains the attacking of the other Pokémon wins the game. There are six prize cards and the condition to win is to draw all these cards. Other ways to win the game is by knocking all the Pokémon so that the opponent has none left.
Play alternate between players who make actions like playing with basic cards or evolving their cards or using energy cards and abilities to fight the opponent. Also Read.
Re-Release Of The Cards
In 2021, the Pokémon franchise decided to celebrate the game in a big way by collaborating with famous musicians like Katy Perry. Along with the celebrations, the company has decided to include partnerships with brands like McDonalds, General Mills and many more.
The most important announcement made for the fans was the re-release of cards from March to October. The cards will be featuring the classic designs of the original set of trading cards. Pikachu and Charmander will comeback with a special design in the front. Also Read.

- Johto First Partner Pack: 3rd September
- Kanto First Partner Pack: 8th October
The pack will be containing starter Pokémon from all the regions so the fans from all ages will relate better to the game.
