Hocus Pocus is an American fantasy comedy film, co-written by Neil Cuthbert and Mick Garris. Kenny Ortega is the director of the film. The film got released in United States on 16th July, 1993.
The film Hocus Pocus received mixed reviews from the critics. The film was not a success as expected. But the fans are anxiously waiting for a second part of the film. Due to the high demand from the fans, a second part of the film was announced by the end of December 2020.
Hocus Pocus 2 Release Date
The screen play for the second part is written by Jen D’ Angelo. Adam Shankman is going to direct the part two of the film. The sequel will be premiered on Disney plus video platform. It will also be available on Amazon Prime.It is expected that the film will get released during Halloween 2021. The shooting is still under progress.
Hocus Pocus 2: Cast
Bette Midler as Winifred Sanderson, Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah Sanderson, and Kathy Najimy as Mary Sanderson are sure to be a part of Hocus Pocus 2. So the fans can be happy that the trio will be coming back as Sanderson sisters. No confirmation about the role of co-star Doug Jones is yet received.
Also the director of Hocus Pocus part 1, Kenny Ortega will not be returning. He will be replaced by the famous ‘Hairspray’ director Adam Shankman.
Hocus Pocus 2: Plot
The film is a sequel to Hocus Pocus part one. In part 1, we saw that the story revolves round three Sanderson sisters, who are witches. These witches have come to haunt the town of Salem, Massachussets, three hundred years after their death. Now in second part of the film , we can expect to see more adventures from the part of these witches.
Fans are anxiously waiting for the second part of the film. The part 2 will also be available on Vudu, iTunes, Google Play etc for rent. Another happy news is that the film will be available free throughout the premiere month. This option comes as a part of channel’s famous ’31 Nights of Halloween’ programme.
