The Clash of Clans World Championship is all set to begin in May, 2021. It has an exciting total prize pool of $1 million. All the teams will have to compete in six-monthly qualifiers. The last eight teams will battle for the winner’s spot in 2021 World Championships finals towards the end of the year.
The gaming giant Supercell, has also unveiled the cash pool prize of $40,000 for the winners of Worlds Warm Up. The event will be hosted from March 20 to 21 and March 27 to 28. The top eight teams will battle against the top clans from around the world.Although, no further details about the format and participating teams have been made official.
Here’s how the Clash of Clans Championship will work.
Clan War League
Every month, at the beginning the teams will compete in the first stage: Clan War League for 11 days. The teams who clear this level can qualify for the next step: Monthly Pre-Qualifier.
Monthly Pre- Qualifier
In Monthly Pre-Qualifier, the eligible players will make groups of five players and compete in a single-elimination tournament for two days. From here, only six teams can qualify for the other round: Monthly Qualifier.
Monthly Qualifier
The eligible teams will move to the Monthly Qualifier where they will compete in best of one, double-elimination round. The winning teams will earn a Golden Ticket and place in the World championships finals. The second team will earn a Silver ticket and will be eligible for the Last Round Qualifier. It will be a two day event. The event will broadcast at the end of the month.
Last Round League
The next event will be the Last Round League that will take palce after all of the MQs end. All the six winners with silver ticket from the MQs and four wildcard entries will be competing in a single-elimination round. The winners will be eligible for the final round.
World Finals
The final round will be the World Finals. All top teams from around the world will battle against each other, for a share of $1 million and the exciting title of King of Clans. The upcoming schedules and information will be releasing soon.
Is Clash of Clans a dead game now?
Don’t be upset Clash of Clans is not a dead game. It still has a following of million players. With exciting updates and new side storylines, Supercell has kept the game engaging and exciting.
Although, players experienced some glitches that left them upset. Few players had difficulty in recruiting new troops. Some fans were not happy with the removal of global chat. Clash of Clan isn’t going away anytime soon but it sure does need some updates.
